The story of Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer

In Santa town it’s always winter, but in a few days it is Christmas Eve. All the reindeer are playing with each other, some music, some tag and some with toys. But in the corner of the reindeershed a lone reindeer is watching the others while holding his toy elephant. His name is Rudolph. He is sad. Because of his red nose the others don’t let him play along and Santa doesn’t let him pull the sledge.

Later, Rudolph tries to hide his nose with a woolly hat, paint and water, but nothing works. On Christmas Eve, it is very dark outside and Santa cannot see, but then Rudolph comes down from the multi-storey present storage and Santa has an idea. He lets Rudolph show the way because his red nose is lighting up the sky. Rudolph is very happy. “HO HO HO!“ Santa says.

It is 24th December, it’s Christmas Eve. Rudolph and the other reindeer are in the reindeershed. All the reindeer are having fun, talking to each other, playing with each other and drinking tea, except Rudolph. He is sitting alone in the back of the room. He is not allowed to have fun with them. But he doesn’t really want to play with them, because they bully him because he has a red nose. Last year there was a crash with Santa’s sledge because no one could see in the dark. Rudolph was not there because he’s not allowed to fly with them – he thinks because of his red nose. He’s really sad about that. After all reindeer went outside to get ready for the sledge ride, Rudolph is sitting alone in the shed, trying to cover his red nose, like literally he tries EVERYTHING! But then he hears a knock on the door, it is Santa Claus. First, he cannot see him because it is really dark outside. Santa Claus says: „Hey Rudolph, we need you to help us draw the sledge because it’s dark outside and you have a shiny nose. Come.“ Rudolph is very happy about that. He takes the woolly hat off his nose, then he runs outside. After he is connected to the sledge, they all start flying, and everybody is happy because they can see something in the dark. Rudolph is the happiest reindeer in the world in this night.

Hi, I am Rudolph, I’m a reindeer with a red nose, sadly. You think: oh, wow, how cool is this?! But no. It’s not cool because all others laugh when I go out of our stable. The other reindeer laugh too, when they see me. Now I’m sitting in our stable. The other reindeer are playing, reading, eating and laughing together – except for me. I’m sitting in the corner and hear what they say. They are talking about the sledge, the sledge of Santa Claus. 

I tell you a little story: last Christmas Eve, it was really cloudy. The red sledge had a star at the front. The star let the sledge fly, but not the reindeer. Where was I?… Right. The reindeer tried to fly with the sledge, but they were too heavy for the sledge. They fell and Santa Claus rode on Willy – my cousin – to the next city, and they jumped from roof to roof. They were really tired when they came back to Santa’s home house.

I tell you something. I’m the only reindeer that can fly without the sledge. Now all reindeer are going outside and I am alone in the shed. I’m flying through the shed and am seeking something to try and cover my red nose. I find many things, a hat, snow, socks, and I try to wash my nose, and I hope I can paint it. Suddenly, there is a knock on the door. I look outside and? That is Santa! „Rudolph, do you want to fly with us? Your nose is shining and can light us the way.“ he says. „Yes, I want!“ I jump up and run outside.

Hello, I’m Rudolph. I’m a reindeer. I live at the North Pole. I have a red shiny nose. That’s a big problem. The other reindeer laugh about me. The home of Santa Claus is red and inside it’s warm – just like myself. I have to sleep in the corner, that’s what the other reindeer said. Everyone is having fun, but I’m sad. I don’t have friends or a family. But I have a dream: I want to draw the sledge like the other reindeer. But the other reindeer say: „Dream on.“ They are so egoistic. They can’t fly well, but they are allowed to draw the sledge. I try everything to cover my nose, but nothing helps. Today it’s Christmas Eve and it’s really dark outside. It was already really tricky for Santa to find the sledge. And then comes the Christmas miracle: he says taht because of the darkness, I have to draw the sledge too. At the front of the sledge. Since this day, nobody laughs about me anymore. I am the happiest reindeer in all the world.

Hello, I’m Rudolph, the only reindeer with a red nose. I live in a reindeershed with other reindeer, but they laugh about me when I am near them. Today, all reindeer are having fun with fluffy toys, but I can’t play with them because they don’t allow it. When I talk or look at them, they shout at me that my red nose is ugly. 

Santa Claus comes in and goes away with the other reindeer and I am alone. I try to wash my nose to make the red colour go away. I’m so sad that I lie down and cry. Then someone is knocking at the door. It’s Santa. He tells me that he didn’t see me and he says sorry too. Then he tells me that he loves my nose and that he knows that my red nose is useful. He puts a leash around my neck and puts little magic stars on my feet. Now, I’m the leader of the reindeer group.

Far far away at the North Pole there is Santa’s home and his workplace: the multi-storey present storage, the sledge garage and the reindeer shed. In the reindeer shed the reindeer are having fun. But not everyone. Rudolph is not allowed to be with them and the reason for that is his red nose. The other reindeer are singing, playing, and having fun. But Rudolph is just on the side with his cuddly toy and watching the others. He’s very sad that he can’t fly with Santa’s sledge too, but of course the other reindeer can’t fly either. They’re just hanging in the air. Looks funny to Rudolph. Rudolf knows that Santa will let him fly when he doesn’t have a red nose, so he tries everything. In the end, he puts a woolly hat on his nose. It’s Christmas Eve, but it’s really dark outside… Rudolph is very sad that he can’t draw the sledge. Suddenly, someone is knocking at the door, Rudolph opens the door and Santa is standing outside. Santa wants to take him with him. He puts Rudolph on a leash. Then he puts it on the sledge and every reindeer is ready. Finally, Rudolph is flying. He is the first at the front and he’s very happy so that his nose starts to glow a beautiful red.

Once upon a time Santa Claus lived in a really red house, next to the multi-storey prison storage. On the right, there is the reindeer shed. Inside, everyone is having fun, except Rudolph. Rudolph is excluded from the reindeer group. The next day, Santa Claus wants to fly with the sledge, but „Ho, Ho, Ho“ is not happening, it’s „Oh, Oh, Oh!“. The sledge doesn’t fly. 

Rudolph is sitting in the reindeer shed and he is asking himself why he can’t fly with the other reindeer. Rudolph wants to cover his red nose. On Christmas Eve, Santa Claus finds Rudolph and asks him: „Do you want to fly with us?“ Rudolph makes very big eyes and says: „Yeeeees!“. Now all reindeer fly together.
